Senator Grassley Visits edecen
Senator Charles Grassley was at Western Iowa Tech April 11 to visit edecen, the innovative project WITCC has launched to grow the IT job market in Siouxland.
Grassley was impressed with the technology offered by WITCC to expand opportunities to students and local IT businesses. Grassley’s comments as he left the edecen area were: “It is so refreshing to see you are doing something about all the problems that surround us in Washington all the time. It is so uplifting to be here, you are actually trying to solve these problems.”
One of the businesses that is “incubating” in the
edecen room is N-Codes. “We are grateful to WITCC for this project and look forward to some profitable growth as a result of the guidance we are receiving from the WITCC staff” said Norbert Schweim of N-Codes who was present during Grassley’s visit.
edecen’s primary goal is to expand IT job opportunities in Siouxland. By doing this, it creates a demand for more students to enroll in WITCC’s computer offerings. Students get first-hand experience working on real projects which the
edecen affiliates (local IT shops) have acquired as a result of the sales efforts of
edecen staff.
edecen is committed to providing innovative IT solutions with the advantages of low costs, on-time completion, high quality and a Midwestern work ethic.
edecen will take a primary role in attracting projects to the local market from U. S. companies seeking to outsource their IT needs.
